O & H Bloodstock among leading consignors

O & H Bloodstock sold four two-year-olds at the OBS Selected Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale Feb. 13 in Ocala to rank sixth among leading consignors with an average $146,250. They also ranked sixth by gross sales with $610,000. The consignment featured four six figure horses. A colt by Successful Appeal, out of Bitey Girl, sold to Dale Romans, agent, for $175,000. Romans also purchased a Carson City filly, out of Gayla, from O & H Bloodstock for $160,000. Harry J. Aleo, owner of champion sprinter Lost in the Fog, purchased a filly by Tale of the Cat, out of To Be Approved, from O & H for $150,000. The fourth six-figure horse, a Stormy Atlantic filly, out of Golden West, sold to Mark Grier for $100,000.



OLIVER AND HUNT go to $125,000 to bring home HENNESSY colt from Fasig-Tipton Midlantic on October 2.

Oliver and Hunt Bloodstock purchased a yearling son of Hennessy for $125,000 on the first day of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Sale, at Timonium Maryland, on October 2. Hip 154 was consigned by Bluewater Sales LLC and is out of the stakes-winning Groovy mare CHART TOPPER.

Highest priced Mr. Greely at Keeneland.

O & H Bloodstock hit another home run when they sold Hip 156, a striking chestnut colt by Mr. Greeley, for $500,000 at the Keeneland April Two-year-old in training sale.   This was the highest priced son of Mr. Greeley in the sale.  The colt, who worked in the blazing time of :21 1/5, was purchased by leading buyer B. Wayne Hughes.

After an impressive work of 10/1, hip 354, a filly by Three Wonders, brought $120,000 at the OBS March Select Two-Year-Old Sale highlighting another successful sale for O & H Bloodstock.

O&H Bloodstock sold 5 two-year-olds at OBS' Calder Training Sale February 7, including Hip# 154, the 2nd highest-priced horse of the sale. The Pulpit colt is out of a graded stakes winning half-sister to YELL, ROAR, BLARE OF TRUMPETS & EASTERN ECHO, all graded stakes winners. O&H's 5 2-yr-olds averaged $201,000.





Other two-year-olds sold at OBS included:

On Sunday, GOLD AND ROSES (Gold Token) shot to the lead upon entering the stretch, and withstood a furious rally from Carminooch (Tomorrows Cat) to annex the Mellow Roll S. CARMINOOCH make a strong bid from last to be a close second.

Carminooch was purchased by Terry Oliver in 2004 for the Three Amigos Stable, a group that includes Suprano's actor Tony Sirico (AKA Paulie Walnuts).  Carminooch returns to O & H Bloodstock for Layups.

In Dazzling Fashion...



. . .Oliver and Hunt graduate ITTY BITTY PRETTY registered her first stakes victory in the Santa Ysabel S.-G3, while leaving 2-5 favorite Sabatini in her wake. Previously she had placed in the Barretts Debutante S., and in the Las Virgenes-G1. This makes ITTY BITTY PRETTY Oliver and Hunt’s 43rd winner.

ITTY BITTY PRETTY was Sold by Terry Oliver at the Keeneland Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale April 2005.

Talullah Lula, Trainer Bob Baffert and Connections defeating Eclipse Champion Folklore

Folklore, the Eclipse champion two-year-old filly, tired after setting the pace in the seven-furlong race and finished third, three-quarters of a length behind runner-up Talullah Lula.

Talullah Lula was sold privately to Bob Baffert by Terry Oliver in May 2005.

Carminooch was purchased by Terry Oliver in 2004 for the Three Amigos Stable, a group that includes Suprano's actor Tony Sirico (AKA Paulie Walnuts).  Carminooch returns to O & H Bloodstock for Layups.

After a nine day holiday break, Carminooch was third in the Alex M. Robb Handicap in January 2006.

Carl and Joan Bowling's She Says It Best and Triple Top, both have been impressive at Churchill. She Says It Best was second by a whisker in the Golden Rod S. (G2), while two-year-old Triple Top scored in a $40,000 MSW. Both runners have siblings in training with O&H Bloodstock.

MAKES GOOD ON PROMISE

Sold by Terry Oliver for $180,000 at the 2005 Keeneland April Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training, PRIVATE VOW, by Broken Vow, re-established himself as a Kentucky Derby favorite when he closed this year's racing season with a convincing 2 1/4 length win in the the Kentucky Jockey Club S. (G2), on Nov. 26.

A victim of very bad racing luck in this year’s Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1), Private Vow had previously won the Futurity S. (G2), and has earnings of $382,508.
